About this plugin

The Power Filter Suite is the Shopware 6 successor to the popular “Power Ajax Filter” plugin for Shopware 5. The aim of this extension is to make the article filter in Shopware 6 as flexible and adaptable as possible, so that all conceivable use cases can be covered by this extension. In the following, we will explain the various setting options.

Requirements

  • Shopware 6 from version 6.6+

Installation

Backup

As with every intervention in your shop, you should make a backup before installation.

You can find the current version in the Shopware Store and install and update it from there as usual. License management is also handled by Shopware.

Configuration

All settings for this extension can be found in your Shopware admin area under Catalogs > Power Filter Suite.

Cache

To see the changes on the frontend, you have to clear the cache manually.

Menu item

The configuration is divided into three main areas.

General settings

Here you can make settings that are valid for the entire shop and change the display of the filter.

General Settings

Display group names in filter labels

This setting adds the group name to the labels that display the active filter values to avoid confusion.

Display filter groups as expanded boxes

This setting allows filter groups to be displayed as expanded boxes so that the filter elements are immediately visible.

Hide unavailable filter options

This setting hides filter options that would not return any results. Without this setting, filter options that would not return any results would be grayed out.

Filter elements

Here you can set which filter elements should be displayed and in which order. You can make these settings globally for the entire shop, as well as for individual categories and their subcategories. This way, you can design individual filter options for each category as needed.

Custom filters

Here you can put together your own filters from existing information. Properties and additional fields of the shopware items are available as a basis. You can activate several properties or additional fields at the same time to combine information from different sources. For example, if you have the information color partly as properties and partly as additional fields, you can select both and thus enable your customers to find the right color no matter where the information is stored. In addition, you can also group the different values here, so that different spellings for the same color are combined in one filter value or diverse or very specific information is summarized under a value that is easier for your customers to understand.
